Cavalry is now part of Canva!
Cavalry joined the team at in February 2026. As part of their mission to empower the world to design, the paid 'Professional' features in Cavalry are now free!
Legacy users can continue to use their Scene Group accounts to access versions up to Cavalry 2.6.1.
Sign in with Canva
Signing in to Cavalry now requires a Canva account.
Enhancements
- Image Smart Folders can now be set to ignore image sequences. Use the cog icon that appears in the Assets Window.
- New
Help > Getting Started Guidesonboarding flow. - Holding Shift when moving whole Layer Clips now enables snapping.
Notable Bug Fixes
- Style Behaviours no longer require an external change to update.
- When Path Offset is used on an Input Shape for a Duplicator, changes will now update immediately.
- A Four Point Warp within a Pre-Comp now animates as expected.
- The Pivot tool now maintains the current selection if a Shape's pivot is positioned over another Shape.
- 2d Shapes now render correctly when Transform Only motion blur is enabled or a Filter is added and a Camera is present in a Composition.
- The Edit Shape tool now handles non-consecutive points correctly when used with the Transform tool.
- Reordering a multi-line index within a String Array no longer triggers a crash.
- The Range Falloff now handles End values between 99.5 and 100 correctly.
- Reordering the indices of a String Array where an index is set to multi-line no longer triggers a crash.
- An over-optimisation meaning updates to a Shape with a connected Bevel Deformer were not instant has been removed.
- An issue meaning a rotated Gradient Shader was not rendering correctly for Editable Shapes has been resolved.
- A memory issue affecting a Falloff with Shape Type set to Shape has been resolved.
Notes
- The CLI is not available in Cavalry 2.7 so if you are using this feature, please remain on your current version. We are working towards reinstating this for future versions.
