Installation
Intro
How to install Cavalry.
The macOS and Windows installers are available to download from cavalry.studio.
If required, legacy installers can be downloaded here.
Install
macOS
Double click the .dmg file and then drag the Cavalry icon onto the Applications icon.
By default, Cavalry is installed to - Macintosh HD/Applications/.
The macOS installer is a Universal Binary so both Intel and Apple silicon chips are supported. The installer will automatically install the correct version depending on your processor.
Windows
Run the .msi file and follow the instructions.
By default, Cavalry is installed to - C:\Program Files\Cavalry.
An unsupervised installation can be run on Windows using msiexec. Launch Command Prompt as an Administrator and then run the following command (replace Cavalry_XXXX.msi with the name of the installer):
> msiexec /i "C:\Path\To\Cavalry_XXXX.msi" /quiet /norestart
To run Command Prompt as an administrator, right-click on Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'.
Uninstall
macOS
Simply delete the Cavalry.app bundle from the /Applications/ folder. The following folders can also be manually deleted:
~/Library/Application Support/Cavalry~/Library/Preferences/Cavalry
Windows
Use Add/Remove Programs.
