Will my content in Cavalry be used to train AI?​

No, your content in Cavalry is not used to train AI-powered features. Nor is it used to help AI features learn and improve in other ways, such as model evaluation or quality assurance.

In Cavalry, your content is stored locally on your device and we don’t have access to it. However, for any content you upload or export to Canva, you’re in control. You can review and update your preferences any time in your Canva settings.

Canva uses content from a combination of different sources to improve its AI features. For more on this, see the Canva Trust Center.

How much does Canva AI cost?​

If you have a Canva premium plan, you’ll be able to use Canva AI tools and Machine Learning features in Cavalry. The price depends on your Canva plan.

How does the AI usage limit work?​

Your AI usage refreshes each month. You can use your balance however you like, from generating images and vectors in Cavalry to creating videos or exploring new ideas in Canva.

How do I track my AI allowance?​

You can check the AI usage tracker anytime from the Billing page in your Canva Settings.

What happens when I reach my limit?​

For Premium, and Ultra AI tools, you will be notified as you near your allowance limit. For ways to increase your AI allowance, see How do I get more access?.

You’ll get a notification in Cavalry as you approach your AI allowance limit, so you can plan ahead.

AI feature usage pauses​

If you reach your limit for premium AI features, you’ll see short pauses between generations. Once it ends, you can continue by entering your prompt again.

How do I get more AI access?​

If you’ve reached your limit, below are some of your options for getting more AI access.

  • Canva Pro and Canva Teams: Upgrade your plan for more AI access, or purchase AI Pass as an add-on to your subscription. If you hit your limit, you can keep using AI tools with short pauses between tasks.
  • Canva for Business: Purchase AI Pass as an add-on to your subscription. If you hit your limit, you can keep using AI tools with short pauses between tasks.
  • Enterprise and Canva Education: If you hit your limit, you can keep using premium AI features with short pauses between tasks.
  • Canva for Nonprofits: Purchase AI Pass as an add-on to your subscription. If you hit your limit, you can keep using premium AI features with short pauses between tasks.

Otherwise, wait for your allowance to reset.

What kind of content does Canva use to train its AI features?​

Who owns AI-generated content in Cavalry?​

As between you and Cavalry, you own the content you generate using Canva AI tools in Cavalry. Read our AI Product Terms to learn more.

Can I use AI-generated content commercially?​

You can use AI-generated content for any lawful purpose, including in your commercial work, as long as you follow our terms. If you’re going to use AI tools for commercial purposes, please note that you may not have exclusive rights to the generated outputs.

Do I need a Canva account to use AI in Cavalry?​

Yes, you’ll need a Canva premium plan to unlock AI tools within Cavalry.

Do I need to be online to use AI features in Cavalry?​

Yes, you need to be online to use any of the AI tools.

What if an AI output looks wrong or unsafe?​

If something looks incorrect, biased, or unsafe, please report it using the in-product feedback tools or contact Canva Support so we can review and address it.

Can I disable AI in Cavalry?​

No, you can’t disable or remove AI features in Cavalry, but it’s your choice whether you use them. If AI isn’t your thing, then you’ll find all the pro tools you need to craft your masterpieces in Cavalry, without AI.
